My 200th Post

As this is my 200th post, and as it seems to be an appropriate time to do so, I thought that I would make an offer to you.
I may be "beating a dead horse" but I do want to reiterate that I joined Google by joining Orkut. I joined Orkut shortly after I arrived in India because I had lost all of my real-time, real-life social networking while I was the United States, and Orkut seemed to be the best and most appropriate social-networking site. Orkut was (I say was because it seems to be rapidly dying out, and is more-or-less replaced by Google+) very enjoyable; I joined and participated in as many communities as I could and as a result, honed my philosophy and communication skills.
At the same time, it was difficult to communicate at Orkut. The threads were almost Twitter-like in length; I often had to break up what I wanted to say into many threads. This was very time-consuming and cumbersome. I wrote to the Help Forum at Orkut and asked for a solution. Someone wrote back stating that Google (not Orkut) offered several options, one of which was Blogger. For a few months, I thought that this was  not a solution; I thought that it was counter-productive; I thought that it was unnecessary to be involved in both a social networking site and writing a blog.
I changed my mind and the rest, as they say, is history. I now view blogging to be its own social networking site: it is a wonderful way to communicate, I have followers, and I have received many comments, all of which I consider favourable.
Early on, I learned that I could earn money by having AdSense ads placed on my blog. I learned later that Google does not accept every request for having AdSense ads on a blog, so I considered it an honour that my blog was approved and that it was done within a short period of time. I also read that there are a few bloggers in India who earn several thousand United States dollars each month. I did not have extravagant dreams; I hoped to earn about USD1,000/INR53,000 per month.
Unfortunately, neither of these things have occurred. Another blogger, Subhorup Dasgupta--whom I admire because not only is he a good writer but also we seem to share the same "less is more" philosophy--told me that he has earned about USD7.00 in two years from blogging. I seem to be in the same situation. He told me that he has other avenues, and gave me suggestions and inspiration to write this post. I still enjoy writing blog posts and communicating through Google+. However, for me to do these things, for me to live, I need to earn money. Thus, I would like to pursue these four different sources:
1) Reviews of products or services, especially of books and especially of books pertaining to travel or other ideas that are related to the idea of my blog. Another option, for you, is that if you have a website then I can include it in my Favourite Websites post. I have been considering writing a Favourite Products post, but do not yet have a sufficient number. I can incorporate your product or service into this post or, if it is in everybody's best interest, then I can write a stand-alone post.
2) I can do research and homework help. I was inspired to do this by my participation in answers.yahoo.com. I consider myself to be highly intelligent (I was a member of Mensa) and quite knowledgeable in many areas (in high school, I took classes in Physics, Chemistry, Calculus and three years of Latin). However, as the years have gone by, my proficiency in maths and sciences have weakened. Thus, it is probably best to stick to homework or mid-terms relating to language, history, sociology and other categories that do not require or expect a great amount of mathematics. However, if you are writing a Doctoral/PG thesis on the differences between Arthur Schopenhauer's and Ludwig Wittgenstein's views of economics then you can probably write a better paper than I could, although I would be desirous of editing it for you.
3) A screenplay. Earlier this year, I thought that I had an opportunity to write a screenplay. That opportunity did not materialize, but in preparation for it, I did extensive research into it. If given this opportunity then I would like to write an adapted screenplay. I am adept at original writing (after all, I have compiled 200 blog posts) but I think that I am even better when I have something to work with.
4) Advertisements. I still hope that you, my readers, can click on the ads that interest you. I have always thought that this is a win-win-win situation. If you, after clicking the ads, make further inquiries into the product or service and find that it is appropriate and beneficial for you then you win, the company wins, and if readers click on ads frequently and consistently enough then I win as well.
